The first official meeting of the ABU Arabian Horse Club took place in 1969.This small group of Arabian enthusiasts was dedicated to the use and enjoyment of their horses. In 1974, ABU held its first AHSA class A Show in LaPorte, IN. The show was moved to Springfield, IL in 1976 where it is held each September. Members are from both the northern half of IL and northwest IN with functions held in both states. Educational and farm meetings are the core of ABU, where we offer information, clinics and education to horse enthusiasts of all breeds, introducing then to the special joy of the Arabian and Half/Anglo Arabian.
