  In 2014 Region XI will proudly offers a scholarship opportunity to either a high school senior or a continuing education student.  One scholarship in the amount of $1000 is available to be awarded to a high school senior OR a continuing education student attending a two or four year college or university for advancement of their education and who is currently a member of the Arabian Horse Association through a Region XI club.  This scholarship may be awarded to a student only once during a student’s school career.  Please take advantage of this opportunity to supplement your college funding.  Applications may be received by contacting Ann Hammer, Scholarship Chair, at 12154 Rose Road, Trenton, IL 62293-4640, or by downloading the application from the Region XI website (when available).  All applications must be requested or downloaded by the April 15, 2014 application request deadline.  All application materials must be submitted together in one envelope by May 1, 2014 to be considered for an award.





Regional Youth teams for the Youth team tournament are due by May 1 to AHA.  Team entries must be signed by the Regional secretary before they are sent to AHA.  Region 11 had nine teams participating in 2013 with the Championship award in the recognized division going to the MAHA Marauders and the Championship in the non-recognized division to the Iowa AHA team 5.  The show secretary signature is no longer required on the RYTT tally sheets, see the 2014 Handbook for the complete rules.  Contact April Nickelson, Region 11 Youth Team Tournament Secretary at: for more information.



  Spring Celebration!

Saturday, April 12, 2014 - Please join ARAB, Inc., Al Khamsa-Illinois, and the youth of the Missouri Arabian Horse Association in celebrating spring and the wonderful history and versatility of the Arabian horse, at Maneghi Meadows Farm, Belleville, IL (St. Louis, MO metro). 

Presentations by Andy Amsden Training; Dez Rey Arabians; Royale Ranch; Briarwood Arabians; and Maneghi Meadows Farm to include English pleasure, dressage, western pleasure, hunter/jumper, native costume, western dressage, barrels, and driving.  Author and historian Joseph Ferriss will discuss the history and culture of the breed and his travels through its native homelands.  Click here to download the flyer for more details.
